Latest CSC Updates & New Services

CSC frequently integrates new government schemes and public services into the Digital Seva Portal. Here are the most recent and important updates for VLEs:

1. PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana Survey

VLEs can now conduct household surveys for citizens under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. This requires registration and data entry through the dedicated CSC App. For every successful and verified survey, VLEs receive a government-mandated commission directly into their CSC Wallet.

2. Aadhaar UCL (Update Client Lite) New Guidelines

UIDAI and CSC have implemented strict new guidelines for VLEs operating Aadhaar UCL. When updating a citizen’s demographics (Name, Address, Date of Birth), scanning the original documents is mandatory. Overcharging citizens or uploading incorrect/fake documents will result in a penalty of up to ₹50,000 and permanent blacklisting of the CSC ID.

3. Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) Card Generation

The process of generating new Ayushman Cards through the CSC portal has been streamlined. VLEs can now seamlessly create Ayushman Cards for beneficiaries using e-KYC (Aadhaar OTP, Fingerprint, or Iris authentication). The card can be downloaded and printed immediately upon approval.

4. CSC Dak Mitra Portal

VLEs can now utilize their centers as mini post offices. Through the CSC Dak Mitra portal, VLEs can book Speed Post and Registered Parcels for citizens. The commission for the booking is generated instantly on the portal.

5. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi e-KYC

Completing e-KYC is mandatory for farmers receiving installments under the PM Kisan scheme. VLEs can use their biometric devices (Mantra/Morpho) to complete the e-KYC process for farmers, ensuring their next installment is credited without interruption.

Common Problems & Solutions for VLEs

1. Money not adding to CSC Wallet (Payment Failed):

  • Solution: If the money has been deducted from your bank account but isn’t reflecting in your CSC wallet, do not panic. The amount will either be updated in your wallet or refunded to your bank account within 24-48 hours. For best results, try to use the HDFC or Axis Bank Payment Gateway (PG) options on the portal.

2. CSC ID is showing as Deactivated / Blocked:

  • Solution: CSC automatically blocks IDs that have not recorded any transactions over the last 3 to 6 months. Additionally, failure to upload a valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) can result in suspension. To reactivate your ID, you must contact your local CSC District Manager (DM).

3. Unable to Login to Digital Seva Portal (Invalid Credentials):

Solution: Use the “Forgot Password” option on the login page. A secure link to reset your password will be sent directly to your registered Email ID.
