Maharashtra Services: Aaple Sarkar Portal, MahaBhulekh Land Records & Schemes

Various administrative, revenue, and welfare services are made available online by the government for the residents of Maharashtra. Thanks to ‘Digital India’ and e-governance initiatives, citizens of Maharashtra no longer need to stand in long queues or visit government offices and Setu centers for income certificates, caste certificates, domicile certificates, land records (7/12 and 8A extracts), or government welfare scheme applications.

You can avail of all these services from the comfort of your home via your mobile phone or computer using Aaple Sarkar and MahaBhulekh. On this page, we provide a complete, actionable guide to the Government of Maharashtra’s most important services, online portals, and application procedures.

1. Aaple Sarkar Portal (Certificates & Citizen Services)

Major Services Available:

  • Income Certificate: Essential for educational scholarships and government scheme benefits.
  • Caste Certificate: Required for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT), and Other Backward Class (OBC) category benefits and reservations.
  • Domicile / Residence Certificate: Official proof of being a local resident of Maharashtra.
  • Other Services: Non-Creamy Layer certificates, Senior Citizen certificates, and various social welfare assistance services.

How to Apply Online on Aaple Sarkar

  4. Navigate to the “Aaple Sarkar Web Portal” and select your desired certificate (e.g., Domicile Certificate) under the relevant department (such as the Revenue Department).
  5. Accurately fill out the online form and upload the necessary supporting documents (such as identity proof, address proof, and self-declaration affidavits) in PDF or JPG format.
  6. Pay the required government processing fees online. Upon submission, you will receive an Application ID, which you can use to track the real-time status of your application.

2. MahaBhulekh (Land Records: 7/12 & 8A Extracts in Maharashtra)

Land records are maintained and made available online by the Land Records Department through the dedicated MahaBhulekh (mahabhulekh.mahaonline.gov.in) portal.

  • 7/12 Extract (Satbara Utara): Form 7/12 is the most crucial document in Maharashtra for verifying land ownership, survey numbers, and area classifications.
  • 8A Extract: Used to check total land holding details and property ownership held by a specific landowner.
  • How to Check: You can visit the MahaBhulekh portal, select your respective revenue division (such as Pune, Nagpur, Konkan, Nashik, Aurangabad, or Amravati), district, taluka, and village (mouza) to view and download 7/12 and 8A extracts online.

3. Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana

Launched by the Government of Maharashtra to promote the economic empowerment and financial independence of women, the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana provides regular monthly financial assistance to eligible female residents in the state.

  • Eligibility: Permanent resident women of Maharashtra falling within the prescribed age brackets and household income thresholds set by the state government.
  • Application Procedure: Applications for this scheme can be submitted online via the Aaple Sarkar Nari Shakti Doot App or through designated authorized public service centers.

Common Problems & Solutions

  • Aaple Sarkar Login OTP Issue: If you experience delays receiving an OTP on your mobile phone while logging into the portal, check your network connection or try again after some time.
  • Application Pending at Tahsildar Office: If your certificate application shows as pending at the local Tehsildar or Setu office for an extended period, you can contact the respective revenue officer for physical document verification.
  • MahaBhulekh Server Slowness: Due to heavy access traffic, the land records portal can occasionally experience slow loading times when viewing 7/12 extracts. Refreshing the page or trying during off-peak hours resolves the issue.
